The
New Globe Theatre, Inc.
was founded by Stuart and anne Vaughan in 1973, to present the
theatre's world classics in vigorous and authentic productions.
In its first life, it toured a company of Equity actors in a
rotating repertory of Shakespeare, Ibsen, Shaw, Wilde, and Williams
plays to university and community art centers. With The Servant
of Two Masters, the New Globe Theatre's new incarnation
has formed a dedicated group of actors in New York embodying
the attitude toward "the classics" which has informed
Stuart Vaughan's Career as a seminal director in the American
Theatre. |
